William “Ralph” Knisley: June 10, 1918 – Oct. 20, 2012

ImageWilliam “Ralph” Knisley, age 94, passed away late Saturday evening, October 20, 2012 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS.  He was a retired farmer and a former welder at Oxwell, Boeing, and Midwest.

William “Ralph” Knisley was born on June 10, 1918 in Perth, KS to William Clayton Knisley and Valla (Akers) Knisley.

He married Jewel W. LaFever on July 18, 1938 in Syracuse, KS.  They had celebrated 74 years of marriage this past summer.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Todd Lowe.

Survivors include his wife, Jewel Knisley of Wellington, KS; one son, Jerry Knisley of Arcadia, KS; two daughters, Shirley “Sara” Weiss of Wellington, KS and Margaret Lowe and her husband Alfred of Perth, KS; seven grandchildren, Rick, Sindi, Kathi, Sheri, Robbie, Tyann, and Ann; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 1:30 P.M.  Pastor Don Bryant will officiate.  Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

 Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church or Donor’s Choice.  Contributions can be left at the funeral home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
